Strength and performance

Whether you are looking to keep blasting, loading and dump areas clean, or construct and maintain haul roads, dozers have a direct impact on your fleet’s productivity. With new mainframes featuring twice the design life over previous models, Komatsu mining dozers are engineered to be powerful and durable.

Features may include:

  • Up to 18% productivity increase over previous models
  • Over 20% more engine power in the reverse direction versus forward direction
  • 10% reduction in fuel consumption with automatic transmission with lockup torque converter compared to operation in manual gearshift mode
Lockup torque converter
  • Engineered for exceptional production. Komatsu’s lockup torque converter produces a more efficient transfer of power to the driveline, designed to help decrease cycle times and increase production.
Low undercarriage design
  • Equipped with a low drive undercarriage designed to help reduce wear and tear on your machine while still delivering comfort and stability. Minimal moving parts to help maintain high levels of traction and production when dozing and ripping.
Structural improvements
  • The D375A-8 features a more reliable mainframe with twice the design life over previous models, designed to reduce maintenance costs and machine downtime.
Blade auto-pitch
  • Designed to increase dozing efficiency while reducing operator efforts with blade auto-pitch mode.
Ripper auto-return
  • The new, ergonomic ripper control lever incorporates an auto-return function designed for less fatiguing operation, automatically raising the ripper after momentarily actuating the control lever while the machine is in reverse.
Track shoe slip control
  • Track shoe slip control automatically controls engine speed and minimizes slip during ripping operation, so your operator doesn’t have to.
Operator comfort
  • Designed to maximize operator comfort and productivity with thoughtful design enhancements like an upgraded cab suspension and palm control joysticks.
Single blade linkage
  • Significantly reduced blade side sway with an all-new blade support structure. The new support structure has fewer maintenance points with enhanced visibility over previous models.
Maintenance features
  • The D375A-8 is engineered to minimize planned downtime and make maintenance efficient with features such as centralized greasing points, ground-level fill/evac service center and battery and starter isolators with lockout tagout functionality.

Drivetrain

Governor Mid-range, electronic
Drive System Final Drive: Double-reduction final drive of spur and planetary gear sets to increase tractive effort and reduce gear tooth stresses for long final drive life. Segmented sprocket teeth are bolt-on for easy replacement.
Steering Palm Command Control System (PCCS), joystick controlled, wet multiple-disc steering clutches are spring-loaded and hydraulically released. Wet multiple-disc, pedal/lever controlled steering brakes are spring-actuated hydraulically released and require no adjustment. Steering clutches and brakes are interconnected for easy, responsive steering.
Transmission Komatsu TORQFLOW transmission consists of a water-cooled, 3-element, 1-stage, 1-phase torque converter with lockup clutch and a planetary gear, multiple-disc clutch transmission which is hydraulically actuated and force-lubricated for optimum heat dissipation. Gearshift lock lever and neutral safety switch prevent accidental starts. | Gear Forward: 1st: 2.2 mph / 2nd: 4.2 mph / 3rd L: 5.0 mph / 3rd: 7.3 mph | Gear Reverse: 1st: 2.9 mph / 2nd: 5.5 mph / 3rd L: 6.0 mph / 3rd: 9.8 mph
